These meetings are an excellent opportunity for caregivers and patients to keep up to date and network, as well as to learn all about the different resources that are available.

I do not have any info on who will be there or the topics of discussion, but no doubt there will be something you will want to hear.

Ann Arbor Medical Marijuana Compassion Club

Just got home from the local Ann Arbor compassion club meeting, and I have to say, there is a lot to be said for Ann Arbor and the fine people who live here. Overall, it was a great time.

I am amazed at the increase in the number of people engaged in frank and open discussion of medical marihuana.There were a lot of people with very interesting stories in attendance tonight.

Most notable was a harrowing tale of deceit and corruption within the state law enforcement community and their intentional misinterpretations of state law and Michigan Department of Community Health (MDHC) policy, courtesy of “PB” and J…

Reportedly, senators on both sides of the aisle were outraged at these “deplorable” practices and have issued yet another likely unfunded requirement for the MDHC to resolve these issues.

I need to review the facts and the secret internal memo that was leaked before I post the story, however if anyone knows Bruce Willis’ phone number I think we might be on to something… More on that later.

I also met representatives from an excellent group of educators, and they have put together a full lineup of classes that are more comprehensive than we can offer at this time, so those of you that are thinking about growing for yourself or others might want to check them out.

The group of people I met tonight will serve the community well and are truly here to help and support people by caring for their medical needs. I welcome the new entrepreneurs to the market and hope we can all play nice and help spur the sagging local economy.

There has been a lot of interest in finding seeds and seed banks lately, so we are investigating the prospect of providing you and other area patients with medical marihuana seeds ourselves.

Why should you be forced to purchase EXTREMELY overpriced seeds from Canadian or European sources and have them delivered, risking legal consequences and seizure.

I am actually pretty excited about the idea… not only would it help you, but it also follows our mission to promote local business and keep money within the state economy.

Common sense would indicate that if caregiver services are legal, seeds should not be an issue. Unfortunately, once government legislation gets involved common sense no longer applies.

Because of these questions, we do not have separated packs of seeds available for purchase on site. I will keep you updated as I can determine the legal issues.

In the mean time, we will do what we can to care for your needs as a medical marihuana patient. We will be happy to forward your requests to independent local caregivers who may be able to help you find top-quality seeds.

Good Times

Hope everyone that came out to Ann Arbor for Hash Bash 2010 had a good time. Overall, I think the bash itself was a great time. As per usual, the weather turned a little sour, but it was nowhere near as bad as it has been in the past.

I did see a few people who got a little too comfortable in their surroundings and started smoking on the steps of the University library. Unfortunately for the girls, they only got a few in before they were confronted by campus police and taken to another kind of after party.

I hope you didn’t forget, HASH BASH 2010 is coming! NOT this Saturday, but NEXT

I remember when I was in high school we used to go down to Pinball Pete’s and the Diag, looking for exactly what hash bash is all about. I remember finding a bunch of cool stuff though, like a pack of smokes that people left on the steps of the Union.

Tip for all of you non-townees (and I hope there are lots of you) … once hash bash is over, check out the Street Fair and then stroll down to the Arb. It is a great place to walk around and mellow out with your friends, old and new.

Google it, Nichols Arboretum. it is a little bit of a walk from the diag, but statistics say that 89% of us could use some more exercise anyway. there are usually a couple hundred people huddled up down there,

PLUS – I heard that there are plans of major network coverage at hash bash this year due to Ann Arbor’s notorious marijuana enforcement policies being the starting point of the whole repeal of prohibition around the US… chances are, since hash bash is only “1 hour of power,” they will probably make their way down there to get some commentary and cover some of the after party.

Fact – 1 in 4 people in the United States has been on television at some point. have you? this could be your chance! be there, or be [ ], man.

It is a shame that the only thing the only thing healthy people know about marijuana are the side effects... imagine if the pharmaceutical industry had to bring a new medication like Xenical to market after so many years of public focus and the weight loss drug's side effects...
